An existing ranch style house was torn down to make way for this new home in an established neighborhood.  Due to the water's proximity, like many homes in the area, there were many regulations restricting the size of the new home.  In order to make the new house feel as large as possible, we bumped up the roof over the kitchen and dining areas.  The vaulted space of the den also created drama which can be seen from the other Living spaces.  A taller than usual walkout basement allowed for more open and airy living space while providing easy access to the water.
